Missionary Spotlight Update: George and Joy Ross

George and Joy Ross headshot

George and Joy Ross serve as the Send City missionaries in New Orleans, Louisiana, through the North American Mission Board (NAMB). They and their children—Isaac, Hannah Ruth, Abigail, Jeremiah, London, and Reuben—have lived in New Orleans since 2013.

Pray God would continue to multiply His efforts in the following areas:

  • Pray for a church planting movement to take place in New Orleans and south Louisiana. Only 11.6% of the New Orleans metro population identifies as evangelical. Pray for church plants to increase attendance and see fruitful growth through baptisms and disciple-making.
  • Pray for church planters and their families, as they are on the front lines of pushing back lostness in the midst of intense spiritual darkness. New Orleans has a long history of being a very spiritually dark place. Pray the city “that care forgot” would be transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Pray for efforts to discover, develop, and deploy church planters across New Orleans and south Louisiana. Pray specifically for the Rosses’ work with New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) as they are implementing the NOBTS/NAMB Multiplication Pipeline to assist in developing new planters and team members.

George and Joy Ross are featured in the November 2019 Missions Mosaic Missionary Spotlight article.
