All day on Monday, options for missions experiences bound! Options include:

1. Conferences—Join in one or more small-group conferences to learn more about an area of missions involvement. Learn more (link or anchor to conferences). See schedule and descriptions below.

2. Refugee Simulation—Gain an eye-opening perspective about our current refugee crisis by participating in Seeking Refuge: A Refugee Simulation in the SBC Exhibit Hall (booth #210). This simulation will give you a glimpse into some of the difficult decisions and struggles refugees face as they’re forced to leave behind their homes and entire way of life. Seeking Refuge will guide you to better understand refugees’ critical needs and how you can pray for and serve refugees around the world. Missionaries and cross-cultural workers who have served refugees will be on-site for debriefing after the experience. Visit refugeemissions.org or the SBC app to view the start times for this 45 minute experience. Presented in partnership with IMB, NAMB, BGR and Send Relief.

3. Tour Area Ministry Sites—Visit and prayerewalk Cornerstone Baptist Church, which serves one of the most blighted areas in South Dallas. They turned a former liquor store into Cornerstone Kitchen to feed the homeless. An abandoned crack house is now the Philemon House for the formerly incarcerated. They transformed a rundown apartment complex into the Cornerstone Care Center providing a number of outreach ministries in the community. See firsthand the community ministries of a congregation who live out their Unshakable Pursuit of God and those He loves each and every day. The 9:00 a.m. tour will return to the Convention Center by 11:00 a.m. The 2:00 p.m. tour will return to the Convention Center by 4:00 p.m.

¡Llamando a todas las líderes hispanas!

Monday, 10:00–10:50 a.m. and 3:00–3:50 p.m.

Organic Mentoring: Doing Life Together
Are you making the most of opportunities to mentor younger women? What does mentoring look like with today’s post-modern women? Let’s talk about how to “Do Life Together” in a natural way, with the cultural changes and the needs of postmodern women in mind. Postmodern women are eager for real, authentic relationships. Will you step out and be available to meet younger women where they are?; led by Allison Kinion. Room C145

Unshakable Pursuit: Chasing the God Who Chases Us
Let’s face it—it’s easy to get stuck in the mundane. How do we keep God’s eternal momentum in mind as we go through our normal, day-to-day life? How do we take every moment captive to know Him better and to make Him known? In this breakout session, we’ll look at some of the ways God’s pursuit of us invites us to do just that; led by Grace Thornton. Room C141

Holding the Ropes: The Adventure of Praying for Missions
Why should we pray for missions and missionaries? What happens when we pray for missions? How can I pray effectively for missions? Ideas from a “real, live” missionary; led by Judith Edwards. Room 143

Meet the Missionaries (IMB)
Learn more about ministry among a refugee minority group in the Middle East; led by A& K. Room C146

In the Midst of Anxiety and Depression
Depression and anxiety are two common mental health issues, both of which carry heavy stigmas in the church. This conference will present information on the diagnoses, including onset, prevalence, and symptoms. Addressing social stigmas will be discussed as well as strategies for building coping mechanisms and life skills for those who are trying to live with anxiety and depression. Connections will also be made with faith as a coping strategy. Participation in this session will provide 1 contact hour credit for health-care professionals; led by Jean Roberson. Room C144
