You will keep the mind that is dependent on you
in perfect peace,
for it is trusting in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
because in the Lord, the Lord himself,

is an everlasting rock!
(Isaiah 26:3—4, CSB)

Experiencing something new and unknown can be frightening.

As believers, we can face the new and unknown with confidence by keeping our minds firmly fixed on our Father. As we keep our minds and thoughts dependent on Him, we experience His peace.

The peace of God assures us He is present. The peace of God reminds us He is good. The peace of God reminds us He is our firm foundation and an everlasting rock.

When we focus on God instead of the what-ifs and the unknowns ahead, our minds can remain at rest. Focusing on Him means we’ve given in to the certainty of God instead of the uncertainty of fear.

Dear Father, please help our pastors and missionaries keep their focus on you. As the days wear on, distractions and uncertainty abound. Their faith communities are experiencing fears ranging from financial insecurity to physical insecurity to emotional and spiritual insecurity. And, everyone looks to their spiritual leaders for answers. Help our leaders know they don’t have to have all the answers. Father, the answers belong to You. Bring to our pastors and missionaries your steadying and calming presence. Make Yourself known to them today as their firm foundation and everlasting rock. Guide them to trust You in all their ways. Thank You for keeping them in perfect peace. Amen.
