Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep what is written in it, because the time is near.(Revelation 1:3, CSB)

Blessings come when you listen well and obey what you hear. Your whole being conforms to Jesus as you enter silence, quiet the mind’s racing thoughts, and drink deeply from Christ’s well of wisdom. Relationships are strengthened when you really listen to the heart of the other. You are liberated from your prejudice and personal ego and are able to give the love of God wholeheartedly.

How might our world change if every believer did this? Time would become a sacred gift from God to you and from you to others. Your life would have room for new relationships. Compassion and mercy would reign.

Father, thank You. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your Son. Thank you for our salvation. Thank you for pastors and missionaries who are denying themselves, and taking up their crosses, and following You. We pray together today for those who need to find time to enter into silence, quiet their racing thoughts, and drink deeply from Your well of wisdom. Gently remind them, Father, that balance is critical. While they pour themselves out for others, give them time to be still before you, reading and refilling from your Word. We praise you and ask you to help all of us to come quietly before You, worshipping You in Spirit and in Truth. Amen.
