Fun Times Are Coming

It's that time again—a new year of service, missions learning, and fun! So how do you get your Girls in Action, Royal Ambassadors, or Children in Action group excited about it? Here are a few fun ideas to get started in the right direction:

  • Plan a special event to garner excitement in kids and their parents. How better to start the GA year than with a slumber party? Boys would love to kick off the RA year by designing, building, and racing their own RA Racers. Or maybe you could have an Around the World Preview party showcasing the countries and missionaries you'll be learning about throughout the year. Food, crafts, decorations, and clothing from the various countries could be used to give a taste of what's to come.
  • Nothing gets the excitement flowing like a mission service project. Kids love to help others! So start the year off with a bang by serving your community together. Bake some cookies for your local fire department or EMS service. Arrange a time to visit in advance, and you might just get up close and personal with a fire truck!

Creating fun experiences will help kids and their parents get excited about the many missions opportunities available through GA, RA, and CA this year. Just a reminder: take a lot of pictures! You can use these pictures to make a video of all the fun you had throughout the year. Plus, you can use it to get kids excited about what will be happening next year in GA, RA, and CA. Now you've have a jump start on next year's enlistment!
