CMD 2016: Save the Date!

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
CMD 2016 is coming,
What will you do?

Children’s Ministry Day 2016 (CMD) is this Saturday, February 13. I hope you already have plans to join children and missions leaders all across the country for a great day of service to share God’s love with the unchurched in your community, association, or state. But, if you don’t, it’s not too late!

Choose a hands-on missions project that will actively involve children in helping others and proclaiming the love of Jesus. Would one of these ideas work for your group?

  • Assemble hygiene kits for disaster relief.
  • Host a craft day at a local women and children’s shelter.
  • Make no-sew fleece blankets for a veterans’ hospital or nursing facility.
  • Prepare activity bags for a local children’s hospital.
  • Pack individual snack packs for a weekend backpack ministry at a local school.

Another great way to get involved is through your local LifeWay store. This Saturday, LifeWay has partnered with WMU to host the All for You Children’s Ministry Day at LifeWay event. At the event, children will have the opportunity to create a care package to deliver to a local ministry (varies by location). This is an additional opportunity to get children involved in the Great Commission within their communities. For more information, contact your local LifeWay store.

Your possibilities to make CMD 2016 the best one yet are endless! Whatever you choose, it will surely have immeasurable impacts not only on the people you serve, but also on the children involved. Don’t forget to report your participation and share pictures with us at wmu.com/cmd.
