Missionary Spotlight Update: Cameron and Jessica Armstrong

Armstrong family

In 2011, Jessica and Cameron Armstrong married and pursued their calling from God to Bucharest, Romania. The couple struggled to make friends until their daughter, Sara, was born in 2016.

Cameron explained, “It is so easy to talk to people in the store, at church, or at the playground because everyone seems to want to say ‘hi’ to the little blonde girl with blue eyes, pigtails, and a mostly toothy smile. We are excited about the gospel conversations that are being initiated just because Sara is so social!”

A former high school math teacher, Jessica returned to the classroom teaching English to university students, including non-Christians. “However, Jessica is now 20-weeks pregnant and we are not sure how her teaching will go,” Cameron said.

Other anticipated changes for Cameron this fall include his mentoring program at the Bucharest Baptist Seminary and teaching a class on spiritual disciplines. His hope for the first-year pastoral students’ class is to provide a good foundation that will last through their seminary years and into their ministries afterward.

Cameron’s business ministry, Faith at Work, has developed curriculum for additional seminars this semester. Pray with him as the ministry plans to use the businesspeople in its network as mentors.

Cameron and Jessica Armstrong are featured in the October 2018 Missions Mosaic Missionary Spotlight article.
