Is there a cost to attend the WMU Missions Celebration and Annual Meeting?
On Sunday, June 8, tickets for the exclusive dinner with special guest speaker Dr. Frank Page are $30 each. On Monday, June 9, the entire day is free of charge, including all general sessions and breakout sessions.
Should I make reservations or register in advance?
Advance reservations for dinner on Sunday, June 8, are required and seating is limited. You can make these online at www.wmu.com or by calling 1-888-968-0322 toll-free. Reservations must be made by Monday, May 19.
No preregistration is necessary for Monday, June 9.
Will I get a confirmation email if I make dinner reservation online?
Yes, you will and we will also send a ticket for admission to you via postal mail.
After I make reservations for the dinner on June 8, will I receive a ticket?
Yes. Regardless of whether you make reservations online or by telephone, your ticket(s) will be sent to you via postal mail. YOUR TICKET IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND. Please remember to bring it with you.
Can I reserve an entire table at the dinner on Sunday night?
Yes! We will be seated at round banquet tables that seat 10 people. If you want to reserve an entire table for $500 that will seat 10, you may do so and we will place a “reserved” place card on your table. Reserved tables will be in close proximity to the front of the room and the speakers.
I plan to attend the dinner on June 8 with a group of friends, but prefer not to reserve an entire table. Can we sit together?
Yes, all tables that aren’t reserved are open to general seating, so you may sit with your friends as seating is available.
Will there be a time to meet and interact with missionaries?
Yes! Along with hearing from our international and North American missionaries during the general sessions, which is always a highlight of the WMU Missions Celebration, you will also have the opportunity to hear from them and visit further during breakout sessions.
What else can I expect during the breakout sessions?
During three different time periods, you can anticipate dynamic breakout sessions that cover a large variety of choices. Topics include: developing and using leadership skills, how to grow as a Christ follower, how domestic violence affects today’s families, discovering how the Scriptures can impact every area of your daily life, how to ignite a passion for missions in your church, and much, much more.
What should I pack to wear?
Business dress is appropriate for the dinner on Sunday, June 8. Casual dress is fine for general sessions and breakout sessions on Monday, June 9.
What will the weather be like in Indianapolis in June?

Will there be a store on-site to purchase resources and items from WMU?
Yes! For your convenience, there will be WMU bookstore on-site with the latest missional resources from WMU, inspiring books from New Hope Publishers, and unique gifts from WorldCrafts. Accepted methods of payment include cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.
I have people traveling with me who will not attend the event. Are there other things to do in the area?
Absolutely! From the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum, there are plenty of attractions to visit in this thriving city. Visit www.indy.org for more information.
Are there convenient dining options nearby?
Yes, there are a variety of restaurants, from fast food to fine dining, that are within walking distance and adjoined to the hotel.
Will child care be offered?
No, unfortunately we are not able to offer child care.
