About Children in Action

Children in Action is a coed missions discipleship organization for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6.

Children in Action learn about and pray for missions. They do missions work and give money to missions. Plus, they have lots of fun!

Children in Action provides:

* Relevant, ready-to-use weekly curriculum
* An environment for active learning
* Scripture learning and application
* Outreach to children in your community
* Learning about the biblical basis of missions
* Opportunities to do missions

Children in Action is part of Woman's Missionary Union (WMU). WMU is an auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention.

Are you currently leading Children in Action? Visit the Children in Action section of our site for news, training, and much more.

Children in Action works well for new churches and small groups. However, if you…

* are a Children in Action leader
* are averaging 10 or more children
* have enough leaders to divide into two groups
then consider starting Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors.

Send your comments and questions to children@wmu.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

I’m a GA leader. And I love it. I enjoy the look on girls’ faces each week when we talk about how we can help missionaries, the excitement we experience when they realize they have the potential to be great missionaries in their school and our community, and the love our girls show each other because of what we are learning. I love the purple and pink, MK profiles, GA Journey, missions stories, handmade cards, badges, missions projects, stickers, crafts, random beads on the floor, missionary pictures, hearing from missionary friends . . . and competing with the RAs.
