About Children in Action

Children in Action is a coed missions discipleship organization for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6.

Children in Action learn about and pray for missions. They do missions work and give money to missions. Plus, they have lots of fun!

Children in Action provides:

* Relevant, ready-to-use weekly curriculum
* An environment for active learning
* Scripture learning and application
* Outreach to children in your community
* Learning about the biblical basis of missions
* Opportunities to do missions

Children in Action is part of Woman's Missionary Union (WMU). WMU is an auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention.

Are you currently leading Children in Action? Visit the Children in Action section of our site for news, training, and much more.

Children in Action works well for new churches and small groups. However, if you…

* are a Children in Action leader
* are averaging 10 or more children
* have enough leaders to divide into two groups
then consider starting Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors.

Send your comments and questions to children@wmu.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

Just a few weeks ago, I was given a five gallon bucket of assorted sizes of rubber bands. My GA group is currently making them into bracelets and necklaces to put in Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes this year. The rubber bands cost me nothing, and the girls are getting a chance to make something that they know another child will enjoy and possibly even find useful.

With shrinking church budgets, children’s missions leaders’ wallets can only go so far. How can you make the most of what you’ve got without breaking the bank? It’s simple: Ask.
