About Children in Action

Children in Action is a coed missions discipleship organization for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6.

Children in Action learn about and pray for missions. They do missions work and give money to missions. Plus, they have lots of fun!

Children in Action provides:

* Relevant, ready-to-use weekly curriculum
* An environment for active learning
* Scripture learning and application
* Outreach to children in your community
* Learning about the biblical basis of missions
* Opportunities to do missions

Children in Action is part of Woman's Missionary Union (WMU). WMU is an auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention.

Children in Action works well for new churches and small groups. However, if you…

* are a Children in Action leader
* are averaging 10 or more children
* have enough leaders to divide into two groups
then consider starting Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors.

Send your comments and questions to children@wmu.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

In addition to my editorial duties at national WMU, I also serve as the bi-vocational pastor of a small church in Sylacauga, Alabama. On a good missions night, we’ll average six RAs and six or seven GAs. By no means do we have the largest missions organizations in our association. Maybe one day we’ll see good growth in our groups and entire church. At least, we regularly pray that God will give us the growth He wants us to have.
