About Children in Action

Children in Action is a coed missions discipleship organization for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6.

Children in Action learn about and pray for missions. They do missions work and give money to missions. Plus, they have lots of fun!

Children in Action provides:

* Relevant, ready-to-use weekly curriculum
* An environment for active learning
* Scripture learning and application
* Outreach to children in your community
* Learning about the biblical basis of missions
* Opportunities to do missions

Children in Action is part of Woman's Missionary Union (WMU). WMU is an auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention.

Are you currently leading Children in Action? Visit the Children in Action section of our site for news, training, and much more.

Children in Action works well for new churches and small groups. However, if you…

* are a Children in Action leader
* are averaging 10 or more children
* have enough leaders to divide into two groups
then consider starting Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors.

Send your comments and questions to children@wmu.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

This past summer, my family participated in our third family mission trip with our church. Although each mission trip has been a great experience, this last trip was especially meaningful for each member of my family. We partnered with a Spanish-speaking church plant that we met the previous summer to provide a week-long VBS. In addition, we hosted a block party, offered a sports camp, went on prayerwalks through the neighborhoods, and conducted back-yard Bible meetings in two different apartment complexes.
