Opportunities Through Partners

State WMUs

California WMU and Croatia–California WMU®is partnering with the Croatian Baptist Women to train women in the local churches in missions education and ministry. Missions opportunities include leading in women's conferences and training events. For more information, contact Linda Clark at lclark@csbc.com.

Kentucky WMU and Korean WMU–Kentucky WMU is partnering with the WMU of South Korea. These opportunities include serving in South Korea but also working alongside the Korean women as they minister in other countries. If you have an interest in any of these trips, please contact Joy Bolton, Executive Director, Kentucky WMU at JoyBolton@kybaptist.org.

Illinois WMU and Team Paris–Illinois WMU continues to partner with Team Paris in Paris, France, ministering to the needs of immigrant women and families. Life skills and interest classes such as cooking, quilting, aerobics, and self-defense are offered to the women, allowing time for volunteers to interact and develop relationships with the immigrant women of Paris. Missouri WMU and Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands–The WMU women of Missouri have developed relationships with the WMU women of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, offering training to the women on missions education and offering prayer support. South Carolina WMU and Jamaica–South Carolina WMU is partnering with Jamaica. Jamaica is a beautiful country that struggles with rampant poverty and people's need for a relationship with Jesus Christ. The focus of this partnership is equipping women for missions involvement. 

    *July 4–11, July 11–18, July 18–25
    *WMU teams will partner with the Jamaica Baptist Women's Federation to conduct Vacation Bible Schools and provide training in evangelism, education, and job and life skills.
    *Cost: Approximately $1,500

PLEASE NOTE: Participants in these trips must be able to lift and handle their own luggage. Also, foods in these countries are different and participants must be willing to eat what is provided. Walking is also required in all locations, so the ability to walk and keep up with a group is required.
