Non-WMU material is primarily from Taiwan and Japan, where she spent some time after retiring from WMU; some of those items, specifically letters, date between 1953 and 1970. Included are artifacts, photos, scrapbooks, correspondence, booklets, and books.

Carter Morgan Collection, retired SBC missionary to Hawaii, Hong Kong, and Philippines

Memoirs from a missionary family.

"China Recollections," a collection of 151 sketches of Edgar L. Morgan during missionary service 1905 through 1927. These were originally published during the 1950s in the News-Herald, a weekly newspaper serving Owen County, Kentucky. These sketches describe a pioneering missions era that included Lottie Moon, Cynthia Miller, Ella Jeter, Jessie Pettigrew, and dozens of other missionaries and SBC leaders.

"Post Scripts" by Carter Morgan, on missionary life between 1948 and 1980 in Hawaii, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. These postscripts were so named at the time they were written, and resemble the format of missionary newsletters sent to those on the "home front."
