Leadership Connections

Alma Hunt Museum

The Alma Hunt Museum of Woman's Missionary Union preserves our corporate history as well as the stories of missions around the world. The museum is named for Alma Hunt, WMU's fourth executive secretary (1948-1974), and is located at the national headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.

The museum houses permanent and rotating displays that feature WMU leaders, WMU's involvement in missions programs, and artifacts representing numerous missions fields. A recreation of Alma Hunt's office, a WMU magazines exhibit, and Annie Armstrong's bed (see left) are some of the permanent features of the museum.

It is our hope that the museum will inspire visitors to fulfill their role in Christian service.
