Carolyn Miller

Carolyn Miller served as president of WMU, SBC, from 1991 to 1996. She also served as president of Alabama WMU on two different occasions-1982-1986 and 1990-1991. One of her life goals is to hold the ropes and support missionaries who go into dangerous or faraway places.

Some major concerns for WMU during her presidency included: organizational change, the 1990s women were changing and WMU had to address this change; working women, as women had less time available, their WMU involvement had to be most meaningful; evangelism, stressed to young adult women of the need to be involved in witnessing; coed missions options, strengthen missions education for teenagers, adults, and senior adults with coed missions opportunities.
