Kaye Miller

Kaye Miller currently serves as the 21st president of Woman's Missionary Union, SBC; she is the 18th woman to be elected president of WMU. She was elected president in June 2005 at the WMU Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. She served as president of Arkansas WMU from 2002 until January 2006; and has worked with GAs, Acteens, and Youth on Mission organizations for many years.

Mrs. Miller and her husband, Mark, have three daughters, Jenny and her husband, Jason; Julie; and Rachael; a son, John Mark; and a grandson, Mason.

Mrs. Miller brings a lifetime of missions experience to her role as president: she is an MK (missionary kid) from Bangkla, Thailand, where her parents, Harlan and Jo Willis, served as medical missionaries. Mrs. Miller graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a nursing degree; she has worked as a registered nurse for many years.

The first MK to serve as WMU president, Miller gives credit to her parents for her love for missions:

"My parents helped shape my passion for missions through their daily experiences. Seeing their faithfulness to seek what God wanted them to do each day and their commitment to go and do it provided an example for which I am grateful.

But along with their desire to follow God's direction and plan for their lives, they also had a sense of urgency in sharing Jesus and put that same urgency in my heart."
