Lillie Easterby Barker

Lillie Easterby Barker, a former missionary, served as president of WMU from 1903 to 1906. She was also the president of Virginia WMU from 1899 to 1901, and from 1902 to1905.

While president of WMU, SBC, she was pushing the women in the direction of adopting systematic mission study plans. She sided with Annie Armstrong in opposing the proposal for a WMU school for women missionaries and submitted her resignation to coincide with Armstrong's in 1906.
