Live the Call: Embrace God's Design for Your Life
By Julie Walters

Get ready for an exciting journey of discovery as author Wanda Lee inspires and challenges readers to understand, embrace, and live the call of God on their lives. As the executive director of WMU, the largest organization of laypeople engaged in missions, Lee shares her fresh and unique perspective on living a life filled with significance and purpose and how to experience it.

She effectively weaves together insightful Scripture study, compelling stories of real people following God's leading, and her own heartwarming testimony to help readers realize that God gives each one of us the opportunity to do incredible things for Him and be a blessing to others if we are receptive to His call.

Lee acknowledges, "Calling is one of the great mysteries of the Christian life. But for those who have begun the journey by saying yes to Christ's invitation to 'come, follow me,' calling becomes the pathway to a life filled with incredible joy and peace." (pg. 219)

Vivid and compelling stories of Christ followers who have experienced that kind of joy and peace come alive in Live the Call. But in addition to these poignant accounts of Christians hearing and living God's call, Lee also offers practical and relevant insight on how we each can fulfill God's purposes for our life; how knowing and understanding the mission of God provides focus and direction.

To live a life of significance that fulfills God's plan, Lee explores biblical truths and key concepts that are necessary to grasp. These include understanding and embracing the Great Commandment—to love God first with all that we are and all that we have and love others as ourselves—and the Great Commission of sharing God's love with others; the importance of discipleship and Scripture study; wise stewardship of all resources; discovering and utilizing gifts; and intentionally developing a biblical worldview, just to name a few.

Live the Call challenges readers to seek not just the good things in life, but to seek God's best … His plan for our life. As Lee encourages, "It is never too late to understand God is calling you to embrace His design for your life. The best He has to offer, not just success in our lives, but significance, is yours for the asking." (pg. 220)
