Church Bulletin Board Ideas

So you're in charge of a bulletin board in your church. Look here for ideas when you've run out of your own. Let us know if you have your own ideas to share.

  • Missions news from state Baptist newspapers
  • Pictures from missions magazines or Web sites
  • Maps
  • Photos of church members involved in missions
  • Photos and information to promote church missions projects or to report them afterward
  • Newspaper headlines plus pictures or lists of missionaries who serve in the affected area
  • Publicity for church missions organizations
  • Missions-related prayer requests
  • Letters, emails, or newsletters from missionaries who have a connection with your church
  • Posters for weeks of prayer and special missions offerings
  • Book jackets or covers from missions-related books
  • Information from your association about area missions work
  • State missions materials
  • Scripture verses with missions pictures
  • Information about the Cooperative Program, including what the money supports and the amount your church gives
  • Handout sheets of missions prayer requests, missionaries celebrating birthdays, or missionary contact information
  • Drawings, posters, or other items created by Mission Friends, Girls in Action, Children in Action, Acteens, or Youth on Mission
  • Promotion materials for special missions-related events
  • Lists of opportunities for church members to volunteer for mission service
  • A country, state, city, or other area where missionaries serve. Find facts and pictures to display along with information about missionaries there.
  • A North American or international missionary to adopt. Have a greeting card or large sheet of paper for church members to sign to send to the missionary. Display correspondence, photographs, and other information as available.
  • Tracts or other literature from mission boards or state conventions. Place them in an envelope attached to the bulletin board or put a stack of them on a table with a "Take One" sign.
